We’re just as comfortable working in the full sun as we are in the shade or even in the dark. We’re not dependent on certain times of the day or perfect weather conditions for great skin tones. We can make cloudy days look sunny or even highlight rain for amazing results.

Lit’s work is a combination of natural light and flash photography. We don’t always need flash, but when we do, we’re experts. We use it to correct skin tones under dark and less-than-perfect lighting conditions, resulting in deeper contrasts, accurate skin tones and a fine-art, cinematic flair.

Receptions easily occupy a third of the wedding day. So why don’t more studios provide great photos of them? Maybe it’s because of the dark environments. This is where we excel, getting into the action, dancing with your guests, and getting candid photos that are Lit!

Lit photographers are hand selected and trained by Mike Moon personally, based on a 50-page manual that he developed to shoot weddings just like him. You might say everyone learns to shoot the same way Mike learned - as a combat photographer in the Marines. Because, like Marines of photography, every LitWed photographer undergoes a rigorous portfolio review process before training hundreds of hours on the job with Mike, where they master dozens of parameters including lighting, timekeeping and day-of-planning, crowd management, and of course, how to shoot the uniquely-complex Lit Weddings composition and style.
